Perfect Eyesight

Crappy Day

Posted in Blogroll by trog on July 27, 2006

Today wasn’t the best, it was so rainy all day.
I washed my eyes early in the morning, using clear water with 3 or 4 drops of lemon juice ( try it it sounds weird but works so good ). I did some exercises during the day, at the gym, taking a bath, learning french ( i’m teching myself ).

Then, at night I did some exercises, I practiced ‘palming’, and i tried something new called ‘the Hindu Yoga Accommodative eyes exercise’, it consists in picking a distant object and a closer one or hold some object in your hand, then you look the distant object a few seconds to get it focused and change to the closer one as many time to get your eyes a little tired, remember its necessary to relax and rest your eyes after any exercise.

First session

It was time to start with all this, so I lied down in the floor, headphones on… indian music playing. I found a relaxed position and then I started relaxing my body, from my head to my feet. I did this with my eyes closed, and i tried to see darker background I can. I have some experience with meditation and self hypnosis so this was easy.

I tried some technique called “palming”, its the act to gently cupping your palms over your eyes blocking the light, this really helps to relax eye muscles.

I continued picking out an object and tracking it, moving my sight slowly around the edges of the object.

To finish I did exercises to improve my peripheral vision, practicing ‘pamling’ technique after each exercise to relax my eyes.

I’ve to say my eyes are feeling great, very rested.
Definitively I will keep on this, so you will probably read me again. That’s all.

Some daily habits

Posted in Blogroll by trog on July 25, 2006
  • Dont read when tired or sick.
  • Dont read extended periods with poor light.
  • Dont read more than 40 min at one time.
  • Look up regularly and gaze into the distance.
  • Reading technique to improve vision: “When reading you should look at the white gaps between lines and not directly at lines themselves”
( I was so amazed when i tried this, I had a very light reading, in fact I can read so much faster now, it’s not easy to get used to, but it works so good. )
  • Wash your eyes everyday.
  • Go outdoors in the sunlight ( the eyes thrive on the sun’s energy )
  • Relax and massage face and neck muscles.

My name is Sebastian, I’m from Argentine.
I’m 19 y/o, and i want to improve my eyesight, my vision is not so limited but sometimes my eyes feels tired or itchy, mainly ’cause i spend a lot of time in front of my PC. I barely remember when i was a little kid but I remember my eyesight was not the same as today, so what if this keep changing, I mean, I don’t want to have a crappy eyesight in 15 years.

We know that eyesight becomes weak after the muscles around the eyes lose their elasticity and become rigid. Near the center of the visible portion of the eye, the choroid layer forms the ciliary body, which contains the muscles used to change the shape of the lens (that is, to focus). And what happen if you don’t use any muscle of your body?… it begins to atrophy, so if you have a weak eyesight guess what? IT WILL GET WORST !

So here’s what im going to do, I found a lot of exercises to improve eyesight. You know that exercise is good for your muscles. It improves your strength, stamina and circulation.
It makes sense to exercise your eyes to promote your vision health. This collection of natural eye exercises will give me workout to my entire visual system. With exerces I can strengthen my eyes naturally.

WHY I will start doing this:

  • to stop feeling my eyes tired
  • to improve my near and far eyesight
  • to develop telescopic and microscopic vision
  • to prevent future problems
  • to improve night vision
  • to take care of my eyes ( who will if i dont )

WHY you should start doing this:

  • prevent those two little red marks on the bridge of your nose
  • stop forgetting where you put my specs
  • stop looking like a nerd! LOL
  • stop waking up in the middle of the night, and having to fumble around for your glasses to know what time it is
  • wasting all that money, even as my eyes continued to get worse year on year
